About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their outstanding team. As a Primary Care PA, you'll care for patients across the spectrum of acute, chronic, and preventive medicine. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while working closely with physicians and an experienced care team. The role includes evaluating and diagnosing acute and chronic conditions, performing comprehensive and problem-focused examinations, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies, developing evidence-based treatment plans, prescribing medications and managing chronic disease, providing preventive care and health counseling, educating patients and families about treatment, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices, coordinating specialty referrals and follow-up care, performing procedures within your scope of practice, and participating in population health and quality-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Grad of an Accredited Program
  • Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • Current Texas Physician Assistant license
  • NCCPA certification
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
  • DEA
  • Ability to meet applicable credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
