About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - OB/GYN to join the team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. This role involves providing direct gynecologic care, preventative care, and surgical assistance in both ambulatory and in-patient settings. The position also includes participation in performance improvement activities, and supervision and teaching of rotating learners such as medical students and physician assistant students. Kings County Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center affiliated with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to all New Yorkers with compassion and respect, regardless of their ability to pay.

Requirements

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
• Must be ACLS/BLS certified.
• DEA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct gynecologic care and preventative care to patients in ambulatory care and in-patient settings.
• Provide gynecological surgical care to patients, including minimally invasive techniques and postoperative care.
• Assist and perform procedures in the OR.
• Participate in OB/GYN and Kings County Hospital Performance Improvement (PI) Activities for Gynecology.
• Provide supervision and teaching to rotating learners, including but not limited to, medical students and physician assistant students.
• Participate in didactic sessions for rotating learners, including but not limited to, medical students and physician assistant students.
