About The Position

Compass Medical Provider is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to support medical readiness for Service Members. This role involves reviewing medical/dental records, determining deployability/readiness, managing cases for Service Members not fully medically ready, and updating relevant systems. The position also includes providing monthly readiness reports, coordinating treatment plans with various medical entities, and maintaining medical records in compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted license in Puerto Rico as an NP, PA, MD, or DO.
• At least 2 years of clinical or medical administrative experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills; flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of military procedures (e.g., AR 40-501), military protocols, databases, and acronyms.
• Possession of a CAC with access to MWDE and MHA.
• Familiarity with AR 40-501 and AR 40-502.

Responsibilities

• Review medical/dental records and make deployability/readiness determinations.
• Manage cases for Service Members who are not fully medically ready and update e-Profiles in systems such as MODS, MHS GENESIS, and MEDCHART.
• Provide monthly readiness reports to the State Surgeon, including status updates and timelines.
• Coordinate treatment plans, referrals, and authorizations with MTFs, VA, and TRICARE.
• Maintain and safeguard medical records in compliance with HIPAA, the Privacy Act, and AR 40-66.
