Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner- Dermatology
About The Position
Skin and Cancer Institute is a rapidly expanding dermatology practice operating in California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. The practice provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services and emphasizes patient-centered care, advanced treatments, and excellence. The Physician Assistant works with board-certified dermatologists and medical staff to provide dermatologic care, with a strong focus on skin cancer detection and treatment. The role includes evaluating and treating patients, performing in-office procedures, assisting with surgical dermatology care, and educating patients. Training and mentorship are available for new providers.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in California.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Passion for patient care and dermatologic excellence.
Nice To Haves
- Dermatology experience is preferred but not required; training is provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive skin evaluations and skin cancer screenings.
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of dermatologic conditions.
- Conduct in-office procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions.
- Assist with surgical dermatology cases and post-operative care.
- Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and prevention.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
