About The Position

Gundersen Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our Gastroenterology department. This position performs the functions of examining, assessing, planning, and implementing the health care of GI patients under the general supervision of a licensed physician. The successful candidate will work in an outpatient setting with occasional hospital daytime consult responsibilities and no night call. The ability to work independently with the support of a physician is critical.

Requirements

PA's and NP's must be graduates of approved programs.
Must be certified and/or licensed in the appropriate States.
Must be able to prescribe according to regulations of the States.
Must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.
Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician.

Nice To Haves

The ability to work independently with the support of a physician is critical.

Responsibilities

Examine, assess, plan, and implement the health care of GI patients under the general supervision of a licensed physician.
Work in an outpatient setting with occasional hospital daytime consult responsibilities.
Provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.
Teach students, residents, fellows or clinical staff.
