About The Position

Meritus Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join Meritus Neurology in Hagerstown. In this primarily outpatient role, you will care for adults with neurological conditions and support inpatient consultations while working closely with neurologists, nurses, and office staff. The practice emphasizes responsive, coordinated care, with physicians, nurses, and office staff collaborating to understand patients’ concerns and connect them with appropriate treatment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current or eligible Maryland Physician Assistant licensure.
• National certification through the NCCPA.

Nice To Haves

• Neurology experience preferred; strong adult medicine experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Care for adults with neurological conditions.
• Support inpatient consultations.
• Evaluate patients.
• Develop treatment plans.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Provide follow-up care.
• Educate patients and families.
• Partner with the neurology team and referring clinicians to help patients navigate ongoing care across outpatient and hospital settings.
