Physician Assistant Internal Medicine
About The Position
The West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to practice in the areas of Internal Medicine. This role involves providing excellent patient care, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and actively participating in the new internal medicine residency program. This position is with the academic outpatient internal medicine department at WVU Medicine, offering teaching opportunities with residents and medical students in an outpatient clinical setting. Faculty members will also participate in didactic conferences and have access to scholarly and research opportunities. The primary hospital is Berkeley Medical Center, a 200-bed teaching hospital in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, with a 19-bed ICU, cardiac catheterization lab, interventional radiology, and comprehensive medical and surgical services. Tertiary care support is provided through a collaborative relationship with Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree.
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Eligible for state medical license.
