About The Position

The West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to practice in the areas of Internal Medicine. This role involves providing excellent patient care, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and taking an active role in the new internal medicine residency program. The position is with the academic outpatient internal medicine department at WVU Medicine, offering teaching opportunities in an outpatient clinical setting. Faculty members will also participate in didactic conferences and have access to scholarly and research opportunities. The primary hospital is Berkeley Medical Center, a teaching hospital in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, with comprehensive medical and surgical services and active specialty programs. Tertiary care support is provided by Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree.
• Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Eligible for state medical license.
