As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Physician Assistant to: First assist in the OR for gynecologic oncology cases. Provide comprehensive care to gynecologic oncology patients with varying acuity and diagnoses. Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments of oncology patients with acute health issues from cancer and cancer therapies (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy) Perform post-operative visits, develop, manage and modify treatment plans Discuss role and side effects of chemotherapy with patients and their family, manage and modify chemotherapy treatment plans, and obtain chemotherapy signing privileges. Evaluate patients receiving chemotherapy, manage chemotherapy side effects and prescribe chemotherapy. Perform in office biopsies and procedures. Provide post-op wound care. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide consistent high-quality care to our patients in active treatment or active surveillance setting. Be a liaison and manage patients as they transition from surgery to outpatient care Work with a wide variety of team members including students, residents, RNs, social workers, pharmacists and care coordinators. Effectively communicate with team members, patients and patients’ family members
