About The Position

The Physician Assistant II provides clinical services within the scope of practice and guidelines established by the State Physician Assistant Practice Act. The role is in Ear Nose Throat at Warren Clinic in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Physician Assistant privileges are supervised by a physician, and the position is designated as safety sensitive under Oklahoma law.

Requirements

Master's degree from an approved program in Health Science or a related field.
Graduation from a CAHEA-approved program.
Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
0–2 years of related experience.
Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated patient care skills.
Ability to organize a multitask role effectively.
Understanding of healthcare delivery processes in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical services, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation of care, within the scope of practice established by state law.
Consult and collaborate with physicians, other healthcare providers, and agencies to coordinate services for patients and their families.
Document services according to established policies and procedures, including preparation of medical records and billing documents.
Perform procedures and treatments as necessary according to established protocols.
Recommend and order treatment procedures as needed by patients.
Promote patient wellness through patient education.
Use advanced clinical knowledge or experience to resolve patient questions and meet patient needs.
Participate in quality initiatives and safety functions.
Assist in identifying and ordering needed supplies.
Remain informed about and comply with current Health System, Warren Clinic, OSHA, and HIPAA policies and procedures.
Maintain exemplary patient satisfaction and participate as an engaged team member.
