We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Radiology team. This role offers a diverse clinical practice with responsibilities across multiple divisions of radiology. The position provides a dynamic environment with opportunities for procedural growth and close collaboration with radiologists and other clinical teams. The PA will have responsibilities in the interventional radiology (IR) pre/post procedural area performing sedation assessments and medically optimizing and managing patients before and after procedures. The PA will have responsibilities in the inpatient IR service performing hospital rounds, hospital consultations, sedation assessments, and drain management. The PA will participate in a rotating weekend schedule performing inpatient IR responsibilities. The PA may also perform various procedures to include but not limited to ultrasound guided paracentesis and thoracentesis, tunneled central venous catheter removals, port removals, gastrostomy tube exchanges, fluoroscopically guided lumbar punctures and intrathecal chemotherapy injections, as well as hip and shoulder injections/aspirations. Procedural responsibilities are expected to expand to include procedures performed under moderate sedation. A comprehensive orientation/training is provided. Minimum of 2 years prior PA experience required to apply. The Physician Assistant performs the following tasks in an authorized setting, such as the clinic or hospital.
