About The Position
Little Company of Mary Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our General Surgery team. This position offers a dynamic mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, working closely with experienced surgeons to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Licensed to provide Advanced Practice Nurse Services or Physician Assistant Services
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for general surgery patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up visits
- Assist in the operating room (preferred, but not required depending on experience)
- Manage surgical consults, rounding, and patient care coordination
- Perform procedures within scope of practice
- Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR
