About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Alturas, CA, to recruit full-time Physician Assistants (PAs) and Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) to join a collaborative, patient-centered clinic team. Under the direction of the Medical Director and Clinic Manager, the PA/FNP provides comprehensive primary care services to patients and families, with an emphasis on disease prevention, health maintenance, and patient education.

Requirements

• PA Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences; Graduate of an accredited PA program
• PA Requirements: NCCPA certified & Active California PA license
• PA Requirements: DEA registration (if applicable)
• PA Requirements: Completion of required CME hours and recertification; supervised by a physician
• FNP Requirements: Active California RN license
• FNP Requirements: Master’s degree from an accredited NP program
• FNP Requirements: National FNP certification (or certification eligible)
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong English communication skills & basic computer proficiency
• Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and perform minor procedures
• Provide women's health services, prenatal care, family planning, and well-child visits
• Collaborate with healthcare team members on patient care plans
• Educate patients and families and provide referrals as needed
• Stay current with medical advancements and promote patient safety and quality care
