PA Family Medicine Physician Assistant for Langley Air Force Base
About The Position
MDPerm is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant (PA) in Family Medicine to support the 633rd Medical Group at Langley AFB. This is a mission-essential personal services contract that provides direct patient care in a military treatment facility (MTF) environment. The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive primary care services in a Family Health setting, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to active duty service members and beneficiaries. This role operates within a collaborative, multidisciplinary military healthcare team and supports readiness and clinical operations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA)
- Current, unrestricted PA license in any U.S. state
- Board-certified by NCCPA
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS required (or must obtain within 3 months of start)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
- Perform patient histories, physical exams, and develop treatment plans
- Manage patient panels within a Family Medicine clinic setting
- Document all patient encounters in MHS GENESIS or other military EMR systems
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and lab results
- Provide preventive care, health maintenance, and patient education
- Respond to urgent/emergent situations and stabilize patients as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate care
- Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain productivity comparable to other providers in similar roles
