Family Medicine Physician Assistant
About The Position
We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician Assistant for a Locum Tenens position in Olympia, WA. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. The coverage period is ASAP through January 12, 2027, with a shift schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. This position is to cover maternity/paternity leave. The average daily patient volume is 18, with a case mix including primary care and mental health. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and has multiple MAs, PAs/NPs, and office staff for support.
Requirements
- Board Eligible required
- Licensed in WA or Universal License (IMLC)
- BLS, ACLS certifications
- Minimum some experience; no new graduates
- EMR proficiency (Epic)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, with a focus on preventive care and patient education.
- Address mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral health issues, within a primary care setting.
- Perform routine physical exams, health screenings, and minor procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals.
