About The Position

Dane Street is expanding its physician panel and seeking Washington-licensed physician advisors to support L&I Independent Medical Exams. This role involves conducting in-person Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) across multiple clinic locations, including Bellevue, Seattle, Everett, Spokane, and Vancouver. The position is on a contract basis (1099) with compensation per case. No-show and late cancellation fees are in place to protect the physician's time. The physician reviewer/advisor will review medical records, perform physical exams, and address clinical questions regarding patient diagnosis and care, utilizing the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition.

Requirements

• Must be in active practice.
• Must be board-certified in Pain Management and Rehabilitation.
• A Washington medical license is required.
• Active practice is required.

• Experience with medical necessity and utilization review/management.

Responsibilities

• Accepts cases on a contract basis as individual schedule permits.
• Reviews all medical records.
• Conducts physical exams.
• Completes a report addressing each question and clinical concern utilizing AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition.
• Provides a report promptly, post exam.
• Returns cases on or before the due date and time specified.
• Completes peer-to-peer calls/call attempts as required based on client-specific protocol.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including addressing any necessary clarification, providing addenda as required (with additional compensation), identifying and responding to potential quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory issues.
