About The Position

OrthoArizona is hiring a friendly, hardworking, and self-motivated Physical Therapy Technician to support patients and licensed physical therapists at its multi-specialty orthopedic clinics. The technician works under the direct supervision of licensed physical therapists, helping patients move within the facility, supporting patient exercises and treatment, and keeping treatment areas clean and organized.

This role offers hands-on experience and insight into physical therapy practices and is described as a steppingstone for people pursuing physical therapy or physical therapist assistant (PTA) education. The position is full-time, based primarily at the Phoenix (High Street), Arizona location, and pays starting at $15.15 per hour. The posting notes that flexibility to travel to other locations may be needed to support patient volume.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of exercise techniques and human anatomy.
• Ability to correct patient positioning.
• Observational skills to report patient responses to therapists.
• Flexibility to travel to other locations to support patient volume.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from treatment areas with compassion and care.
• Assist patients with undressing and dressing wounds in preparation for treatment.
• Support treatment procedures as directed by licensed therapists.
• Apply heat and cold modalities, conduct exercises, and provide injury prevention services.
• Maintain clean, organized, and unobstructed treatment areas.
• Answer phones, take messages, and assist with front desk duties.
• Assist patients with movements within the facility.
• Report patient responses to therapists.
