Physical Therapy Supervisor - Inpatient Rehab
About The Position
The Physical Therapy Supervisor for Inpatient Rehabilitation at Resurrection Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of Rehab Services. This role involves coordinating and supervising staff and clinical affiliates, managing treatments and activity schedules, and assisting in the development of policies, procedures, and new programs. The supervisor will also train and monitor the competency of personnel, assist with performance evaluations, and provide direct patient care as needed based on census. Additionally, the supervisor will support the Director in departmental management and undertake any delegated assignments.
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved school with a BS or BA degree, Masters, or doctorate degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy
- Three years experience as a practicing physical therapist.
- Licensed by the professional licensing board of state.
- BCLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.
Responsibilities
- Supervises Rehab Services daily activities.
- Coordinates and supervises staff and clinical affiliates, treatments and activity schedule.
- Assists in planning and establishing policies and procedures and development of new programs.
- Trains and monitors competency of new and current personnel.
- Assists in staff performance evaluations.
- Direct patient care including evaluation and treatment as dictated by census with a negative variance.
- Assists Director in management of department and assumes any delegated assignments.
