Physical Therapy Specialist
About The Position
We're looking for a healthcare professional who is passionate about helping patients as our next physical therapist. You will work with people who have mobility issues after surgery or an injury, and help them develop a treatment plan. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating personalized health and fitness plans for patients while also providing them with physical therapy to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Our ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of patient issues and will also be up-to-date on the most recent developments in treatment.
Requirements
- Doctorate in physical therapy
- Licensed to practice in the state in which you seek employment
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Michigan
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Current CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Home health experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising PT
- Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, and endurance
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising PT
- Document patient visits and treatment notes accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and fall prevention
- Maintain compliance with home health regulations and agency policies
