About The Position

This position assists with physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by the supervising physical therapist. The role requires safe use of physical therapy equipment and professional, customer-focused interactions with patients, physicians, the public, and other health care providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program, unless the Physical Therapy Examining Committee has provided a qualifying opinion on equivalent training and/or experience.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of California, or status as a Physical Therapy Assistant Licensed Applicant with a requirement to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card.
• Ability to utilize physical therapy equipment safely.
• Ability to relate professionally to patients, physicians, the public, and other health care providers while demonstrating excellent customer service.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Experience in an acute care setting.
