Requirements

• Associate’s degree Required
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
• Physical Therapy Assistant in the State
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services that support patients in developing, restoring, and maintaining physical function and mobility.
• Implements treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic modalities.
• Monitors patient responses and communicates progress and potential goal modifications to the supervising therapist.
• Documents care.
• Educates patients and caregivers about functional deficits.
• Assists with discharge planning, including guidance on adaptive equipment and community resources.
• Ensures high-quality care while promoting patient engagement and recovery.
