Physical Therapy Assistant for Home Health with Hiring Bonus
About The Position
Apollo Home Healthcare is hiring a full-time or part-time/per-diem Physical Therapy Assistant to serve patients in the Northern California Bay Area, including Contra Costa and Alameda counties. The PTA provides in-home physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, helping patients regain independence and improve daily functioning. The role works closely with the supervising PT and a dedicated healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care. A hiring bonus is offered: $2,500 for full-time PTAs or $1,250 for part-time/per-diem PTAs, paid after six months of successful employment. Visit and reimbursement rates vary based on visit type and employment status (1099 or W-2), and rates may be adjusted in the future. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
- Active California PTA license.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
- Home healthcare experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the Kinnser/WellSky EMR is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home physical therapy visits under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe movement.
- Document visits in WellSky/Kinnser in a timely manner.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the care team.
