About The Position
Apollo Home Healthcare is hiring a full-time or part-time/per diem Physical Therapy Assistant to provide in-home physical therapy services to patients in Northern California's Bay Area. The role serves patients in Contra Costa County and Alameda County and focuses on helping them regain independence and improve daily functioning. The assistant works under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and collaborates with a dedicated healthcare team to provide patient-centered care. The position offers competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, cellular device reimbursement, and eligibility for Obran Cooperative membership and profit-sharing. Full-time clinicians receive a comprehensive benefits package. A limited-time hiring bonus is offered: $2,500 for full-time employees or $1,250 for part-time/per diem employees, payable after six months of successful employment. Visit and reimbursement rates vary by visit type and employment status (1099 or W2), and may be adjusted in the future.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
- Home healthcare experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the Kinnser/WellSky electronic medical record system; this is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home physical therapy visits under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe movement.
- Document visits promptly in WellSky/Kinnser.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the care team.
