About The Position

Regency Hospital - Florence is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports the delivery of compassionate physical therapy services to patients during recovery. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, in Florence, South Carolina, and pays $23.00 to $39.00 per hour. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

Valid state PTA license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with delivery of physical therapy services, including patient transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities.
Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the physical therapist.
Assist the physical therapist with therapeutic interventions supporting patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills, and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening; and pain relief.
Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
