About The Position

Polaris Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide patient care and rehabilitation services in a compassionate, supportive environment. The PTA works alongside a multidisciplinary team to help develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans that promote recovery and independence, conducting therapy under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The position is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies, or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), or willingness to obtain it.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Strong observational and assessment skills, with the ability to identify and address patient needs.
• Full-time commitment, with flexible scheduling to meet the needs of patients and the team.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a strong foundation in patient care and rehabilitation techniques; new graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans, including exercises, stretches, and functional activities.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Use treatment modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat or cold therapy as directed by the physical therapist.
• Monitor patient progress, record treatment outcomes, and communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support comprehensive, coordinated patient care.
