About The Position

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Petersburg Healthcare Center. Therapists are in-house team members, and the role offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on residents through therapy. CommuniCare is a rapidly growing company with 170 centers across Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The role may also offer opportunities to work at multiple centers and serve a wide variety of patient needs.

Requirements

• Physical Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited program.
• Valid or pending State Physical Therapy Assistant license.

Responsibilities

• Verify client information by interviewing clients, reviewing or recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of treatment.
• Help clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, including supporting injured workers in improving motor skills and returning to the labor force, and teaching people with learning disabilities to live more independently, use public transportation, and increase mobility independence.
• Implement treatment plans through direct treatment and collaboration with the Physical Therapist.
• Educate other team members involved in the treatment plan and clients’ family members.
