About The Position
Eddy VNRA is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join their team. This role involves collaborating with a team of Physical Therapists to manage a caseload of patients requiring home-based therapy, primarily post-acute or subacute. The position offers independence, allowing the PTA to start and end their day from home, and encourages the use of cutting-edge technology to enhance patient care efficiency. The agency prioritizes safety, providing comprehensive training and necessary protective equipment for delivering care in clients' homes. New Homecare PTAs receive thorough orientation, mentorship, and strong management support.
Requirements
- NYS PTA Licensure
- Minimum one year of experience working with adult and/or geriatric population
Nice To Haves
- Home care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of Physical Therapists to manage a caseload of patients requiring home-based therapy, primarily post-acute or subacute.
- Promotes/provides physical therapy services in the home to assist the patient in achieving his/her optimal level of functioning.
- Evaluates and treats individuals with functional deficits secondary to neurologic, orthopedic and medical conditions.
- Care for one patient at a time.
