About The Position

Eyas Landing - Avondale is seeking a skilled and compassionate clinic-based Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists in Chicago, IL. Eyas Landing - Avondale offers a unique opportunity to provide therapy through our Merlin Day Academy, a fully integrated educational and therapeutic environment for children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to help children thrive.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy to children and families in our clinic, clients' schools and homes.
• Foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth.
• Provide individualized and group therapy.
• Implement therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
• Collaborate daily with occupational and speech therapists and social workers.
• Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care.
