About The Position

FeldCare Connects is seeking a self-motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to provide home health care to adults of all ages in the Atwater area. The role focuses on patient needs related to mobility, pain reduction, restoring function, and preventing disability. Following the assessment and plan of care established by a Physical Therapist, the assistant carries out treatment interventions and evaluates patient progress.

The position is offered as an independent contractor opportunity. FeldCare Connects connects partner agencies with therapists and provides administrative resources, including assignment support, communication, scheduling, care coordination, and quality assurance. Clinicians can make their own schedule, choose their preferred service area, work independently, and receive above-average compensation while writing off expenses.

Requirements

• Ability and enthusiasm to work with people of all ages.
• Physical Therapy Assistant license and state registration.
• Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, or the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide services within state laws governing Physical Therapy Assistants, according to the plan of care and in coordination with other health care team members.
• Help patients use therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
• Observe, record, and report patients’ responses to treatment and changes in their conditions.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and health care team members in therapy activities they can participate in to assist the patient.
• Carry out treatment interventions intended to improve and enhance patient well-being, and evaluate patient progress.
