About The Position

The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients ages 18 through geriatric who have rehabilitation diagnoses or conditions requiring rehabilitation. The assistant supports patient care by assessing medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions, and rehabilitation potential. Under the direction of a Physician and Physical Therapist, the assistant administers treatment programs with specific goals tailored to patients’ capacity and tolerance. The role also includes educating patients and families about appropriate physical therapy methods. This is a PRN position. Pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross; online certification is not acceptable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Detail-oriented and able to meet strict time frames.

Responsibilities
