About The Position
At Varco Home Health, the Physical Therapy Assistant provides one-on-one therapy support in patients’ homes to help improve mobility, regain independence, and enhance quality of life. This PRN position offers a flexible schedule and involves delivering treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist, assisting patients with exercises, tracking and reporting progress, educating patients and caregivers, and documenting visits.
Requirements
- Active Texas PTA license.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently in a home setting.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Home health experience.
- Kinnser/WellSky EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, and balance.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
- Document visits accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support patient goals and functional independence.
