About The Position

Post-Acute Rehab Solutions Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide home health care in Dallas, Texas. This PRN role supports patients as they work to regain mobility and improve their quality of life through personalized treatment and rehabilitation. The assistant provides assigned physical therapy services in patients’ homes in accordance with the physician’s plan of care and under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Requirements

• PTA certification for the state of Texas.
• CPR certification.
• Professional liability insurance.
• Proven work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices.
• Friendly and professional demeanor when explaining procedures and treatments.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Home health or rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs.
• Provide assigned physical therapy services in the home in accordance with the physician’s plan of care and under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Offer cost-effective treatments to improve patients’ motion and mobility.
• Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
• Create fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs.
• Provide quality, personalized, evidence-based care and proven interventions.
• Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally.
• Promote healthy lifestyles by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Consult and practice with other health professionals.
• Evaluate treatment effects, monitor progress, and communicate updates.
• Document patient care services.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
