About The Position

Community LIFE is a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly, committed to empowering older adults to remain at home while preserving their dignity, independence and quality of life. Our program brings the region’s experts in geriatric medicine and care together to work as a team in specialized Day Centers, to help older adults enjoy the highest quality of life possible. Our professionals are committed to keeping older adults independent, and in their homes. Our wide range of services are designed to meet the varied needs of seniors, and include medical care, social services, meals, activities, transportation and much more. Our Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to older adults (age 55+) under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. This position will implement as directed, components of participant interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the participant as directed by the Physical Therapist and/or to ensure the participant's safety and comfort. The PTA will work with the team to develop group and individual programs for maintenance to our participants and will perform assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant indirect supervision license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Valid PA Driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Basic computer knowledge

  • One year working with the frail or elder population
