About The Position

Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is seeking a committed, patient-focused Physical Therapist to provide client-centered services for people with physical, mental, or developmental conditions. The role involves helping patients develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and work, supporting them in performing everyday activities confidently and independently. The successful candidate will take a holistic approach and adapt the environment to fit each person. The position serves short-term and long-term residents who may benefit from skilled physical therapy services in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Requirements

• Valid license to practice physical therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and basic math skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat short-term and long-term residents who would benefit from skilled physical therapy services.
• Complete quality and timely documentation, including evaluations, re-certifications, and discharges.
• Directly and indirectly supervise physical therapist assistants.
• Conduct quarterly screens and/or evaluations on long-term residents.
• Develop and assist with overseeing restorative nursing programs.
• Assist with insurance authorizations and appeals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Contribute to the overall needs of the facility and facility staff.
