About The Position

The client is seeking a forward-thinking Physical Therapist to join its concussion and neuro-rehabilitation team in Tampa, Florida. This full-time, 100% outpatient position includes telemedicine concussion evaluations and hands-on care, supported by neurologists and other medical providers. The role treats patients recovering from concussion and traumatic brain injury using an evidence-based, technology-driven approach. Traumatic brain injury experience is helpful but not required; new graduates are welcome. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The position offers a salary of $90,000–$105,000 per year based on experience, with additional RVU production built into the salary. A laptop is provided for documentation.

Requirements

Active Florida Physical Therapist license.
DPT or MPT from an accredited program.
Strong rehabilitation knowledge, communication, and patient-care skills.

Nice To Haves

Traumatic brain injury experience; not required.
Neurorehabilitation certifications.
Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed initial assessments of patients’ mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities.
Design and implement personalized exercise programs targeting impairments such as muscle weakness, coordination issues, and balance deficits.
Use techniques such as gait training, neuromuscular re-education, and manual therapy to improve movement and reduce pain.
Provide telemedicine concussion evaluations and hands-on outpatient care.
Use technology-driven therapies and modalities, including virtual reality-assisted rehabilitation, vestibular therapy with digital motion sensors, infrared photobiomodulation, Alpha-Stim therapy, biofeedback, and vagus nerve stimulation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery from concussion and brain injury.
Oversee physical therapist assistants (PTAs).
