About The Position

The Physical Therapist (PT) in Acute care, PRN position at Community Hospital is responsible for coordinating and directing patient care services for patients of all ages. This includes patient evaluation/assessment, establishing and implementing a plan of care, assessing treatment effectiveness, modifying treatment to ensure goal achievement, and educating patients/caregivers. The role requires applying therapeutic principles and practices based on current evidence, clinical judgment, and patient preference. High-quality documentation in a timely manner is essential, adhering to professional association and regulatory guidelines. The PT will also collect and analyze data from outcome measures to monitor patient progress and intervention effectiveness, and demonstrate an understanding of treatment costs and financial support related to quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist in the State of Colorado (required)
  • BLS Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)

  • Doctorate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the ability to apply therapeutic principles and practices based on current evidence and knowledge, appropriate clinical judgment, and patient preference.
  • Produces quality documentation in a timely manner to support provision of care, according to current standards that are based on professional association and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collects and analyzes data from selected outcome measures to monitor patient progress and the benefit of interventions.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency, including budgeting, staffing, billing/coding, and procedural planning tasks.
