About The Position

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Acute Care team. This role is PRN/As Needed requiring at least 2 weekend shifts per month (weekday availability is a plus), and 1 major and 1 minor holiday. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Physical Therapist license (VA licensure or compact privileges)
• BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start

Nice To Haves

• Physical Therapist (PT) experience in the acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
