About The Position

Origami Rehabilitation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing comprehensive rehabilitation for children and adults with neurological, developmental, mental health, and orthopedic conditions through residential and outpatient programs. This role involves developing and administering one-on-one physical therapy services, communicating with stakeholders, and providing treatment at various Lansing-based campuses. Requirements

A degree in Physical Therapy and licensure in the state of Michigan.
Certification as a Brain Injury Specialist (provided by Origami)
CPR, First Aid, AED certification (provided by Origami)

Responsibilities

Evaluate, document, and implement treatment plans for clients referred by physicians.
Provide interns, volunteers, and job shadows meaningful educational experiences.
Educate staff, clients, and external stakeholders on individualized home exercise programs and other PT modalities as appropriate.
Observe all rules of confidentiality as they pertain to program participants internally, and in working with outside individuals and/or agencies.
Proactively initiate and follow-through with tasks utilizing appropriate problem-solving techniques to facilitate communication flow and prompt resolutions.
Record evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, discharge reports, and service billings in a timely manner and in accordance with procedure to provide complete documentation for client charts.
Delegate and oversee established plans of care with Physical Therapist Assistants as appropriate.
Contribute to the design and maintenance of effective and timely systems of documentation, including the collection and analysis of outcome data.
Maintain professional excellence through attending networking opportunities, establishing collegial relationships, sharing resources and skills, and/or seeking out opportunities to speak, publish, and contribute to research.
Maintain caseload levels at a level deemed reasonable by the PT Supervisor.
Attend staff meetings, orientation, in-service trainings, clinical reviews, and care conferences.
Provide caseload coverage for PT services.
Perform therapy gym maintenance duties such as cleaning surfaces, and laundry needs.
Participate in program development, budget planning, and small therapy supply inventory.
Other duties as assigned by the PT Supervisor.
