About The Position

This is a full-time Physical Therapist position in Outpatient Rehabilitation at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including evaluations, treatment plans, and patient education, while adhering to hospital and departmental policies. The Physical Therapist will also supervise support staff, maintain accurate documentation, meet financial and productivity standards, and participate in process improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role involves promoting professional development, conducting in-service training, and communicating effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers. The position requires demonstrating age-specific knowledge and skills in patient care.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from accredited physical therapy school.
• Current licensure in the state of applicable state and CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.
• Able to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers and provide quality care for patients.
• Able to communicate with patients of all age groups and significant others appropriate to the level of comprehension.
• Has knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of the patient throughout the entire span of life.

• Previous hospital experience preferred.
