About The Position

The Physical Therapist provides acute-care therapy to help patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence following illness, injury, or surgery. The role works closely with physicians and the care team to assess patient needs and develop personalized therapy plans with meaningful goals and a focus on patient outcomes. The therapist delivers evidence-based interventions, monitors patient progress, adjusts treatment plans, and documents outcomes. The role also includes educating patients and families, coordinating patient-centered care across disciplines, and mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding the organization’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity. No travel is required, and no experience is required.

Requirements

Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT).
Bachelor’s degree.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), or BCLS Instructor certification, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
Monitor patient progress, refine therapy plans, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of outcomes.
Educate patients and families about exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence.
Collaborate across disciplines to support cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery.
Mentor therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.
