About The Position

As an Acute Care Physical Therapist at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, you will help patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence following illness, injury, or surgery. You will work closely with physicians and the care team to assess patient needs and create personalized therapy plans centered on meaningful goals, active engagement, and patient outcomes. The role is supported by HCA Healthcare’s clinical expertise, rehabilitation technology, and professional development resources.

You will provide evidence-based interventions, monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safe practices. You will collaborate across disciplines to support coordinated, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery. You may also mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctorate degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
• Monitor patient progress, refine therapy plans, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence.
• Collaborate across disciplines to provide cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.
