About The Position

The Physical Therapist manages a hospital-based inpatient and outpatient physical therapy clinic. The Physical Therapist supports medical staff and participates in interdisciplinary team functions, promoting a collaborative atmosphere and the professional development of all department staff. Patient care responsibilities include skilled physical therapy evaluations and the establishment of treatment plans. The role also involves optimizing department revenue streams and managing expenses while adhering to compliance with all corporate, state, and federal guidelines for physical therapy practice. Additionally, the Physical Therapist coordinates an orthopedic specialty field clinic, screening and prioritizing referrals, and collaborates with corporate teams to improve administrative processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
  • Four (4) years of active, full-time patient care experience.
  • Valid license in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and detailed correspondence; effective presentation skills.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical computations and understanding of ratios, percentages, and spreadsheet formulas.
  • Proficient in creating professional written correspondence, using MS Excel for spreadsheets, and developing presentations in MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to apply common sense and handle various concrete variables in administrative and patient care situations.
