Requirements
- Current Idaho PT license in good standing
- Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Organized, self-starter who enjoys working with the geriatric population
- Ability to supervise a PTA
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Float between 2-3 of our skilled nursing facilities, depending upon your availability: Oak Creek Rehab in Kimberly, Desert View Care Center in Buhl, Twin Falls Transitional Care Center, Lincoln County Care Center in Shoshone
- Evaluate patients and developing individualized treatment plans
- Occasionally treat clinically complex patients
- Perform gait training and therapeutic exercise programs
- Provide balance training and fall-prevention interventions
- Complete wheelchair and equipment assessments
- Perform and assisting with all types of transfers
- Educate patients and families on safety and mobility strategies
- Supervise a PTA
- Collaborate closely with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide training and mentorship for competencies
