About The Position

The Sr. Title Agent will be responsible for researching and examining online public records related to surface and mineral title. This role involves compiling full chains of title, identifying gaps or defects, and creating comprehensive title abstracts. The agent will interpret various legal documents, identify ownership interests and encumbrances, and prepare detailed title reports and acquisition packages. Clear and professional communication of findings is essential.

Requirements

• Prior experience completing complex surface and mineral title examinations (mortgage or insurance title experience alone is not sufficient).
• Prior experience in Due Diligence projects.
• Skilled in interpreting legal documents and historical property conveyances.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time across multiple projects.
• Familiarity with courthouse research tools and online public record systems.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and deed plotting software.
