About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a part-time Physical Therapist to provide home health care. The role is scheduled for two days per week, with Saturday visits if needed. The Physical Therapist helps patients maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and function. The position includes providing interventions, conducting reexaminations at least every 30 days, modifying interventions as needed, and planning for patient discharge. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state where assigned to work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy educational program as established by CAPTE.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care. Candidates with less than one year of experience require approval from regional clinical leaders and appropriate mentoring and/or participation in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities
