Seeking an outpatient physical therapist with experience in treating both orthopedic and pelvic health. The patient caseload will be split between pelvic floor and orthopedic treatments. This role involves interpreting physician referrals, completing comprehensive evaluations, establishing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress. The therapist will also be responsible for patient discharge planning, including home programs and patient education, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure optimal patient care. Documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, must be completed according to department policy and accreditation standards. Daily statistics, billing, and scheduling are also part of the responsibilities. The role requires maintaining productivity standards, adhering to billing and documentation policies, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the treatment area. Manual techniques, patient transfers, and the use of modalities and exercise equipment are integral to the role. Promoting patient safety through adherence to safety and infection control measures is essential. The physical therapist will participate in performance improvement activities, manage their caseload, and assist with coverage needs. Professional growth is encouraged through continuing education and participation in department in-services. The role may involve supervising physical therapy assistants, extenders, and students, including delegating tasks, providing direction, and maintaining responsibility for the plan of care.
