About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist at The Jefferson-Sunrise facility. The role evaluates patients’ physical conditions and provides therapeutic care to improve function, reduce pain, and support recovery. The therapist educates patients and families, documents care, and collaborates with healthcare providers. Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and flexibility.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other treatments to improve functionality and alleviate pain.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, posture, and body mechanics to aid recovery and prevent injuries.
- Guide patients on home routines and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to support effective patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
