About The Position

The Physical Therapist provides and directs Physical Therapy services to patients in assigned locations, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. The role functions under a physician’s order and supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides/Therapy Techs.

This travel position is at a long-term acute care facility. Travel assignments are available locally and outside the local area at partner facilities across the country. The travel program offers a dedicated recruiter, a competitive hourly rate plus a tax-free stipend when applicable, no mid-contract pay cuts, referral bonuses, and reimbursement for a new state license when required for travel.

Requirements

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and provide Physical Therapy treatment under a physician’s order.
• Plan and implement Physical Therapy programs.
• Complete related documentation and communicate regarding patient care.
• Direct Physical Therapy services at assigned locations.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides/Therapy Techs.
