About The Position
Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, Louisiana, is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist for Rehab Services. The therapist will evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans, organizing and conducting medically necessary physical therapy in an acute care setting to restore function, prevent disability, decrease pain, and promote healing following disease, injury, or sickness. Therapy services span acute, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation settings. The department offers a team-oriented environment with opportunities for flexibility and skill development.
Requirements
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in physical therapy from an approved school.
- Current valid Physical Therapy License in Louisiana, or a temporary permit granted by LSBPTE.
- Successful completion of long-term clinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments from an accredited PT school, or one year of recent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.
- Knowledge of physical therapy delivery throughout the patient lifespan.
- Knowledge of acute care physical therapy for inpatient services.
