About The Position

The Orthopaedic Center is looking for highly motivated Physical Therapists for multiple locations including Ardmore, Albertville, Athens, Florence, Guntersville, Hazel Green, Huntsville, Madison, Rogersville, and Scottsboro. This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The Physical Therapist will examine, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to patients referred by appropriate professionals. This includes interpreting referrals, performing complete patient evaluations, developing thorough treatment plans with goals, reevaluation, and discharge. The role involves performing treatment programs, making modifications as necessary, and ongoing assessment of patient response. Additionally, the Physical Therapist will delegate and supervise support staff, document patient progress and outcomes, manage charging and productivity data, communicate with physicians and other disciplines, and handle secondary responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor. Effective communication with patients, TOC physicians, and staff is essential.

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • Current Physical Therapy License in the state of Alabama.
  • CPR certified.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability and willingness to work with all patients in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding organizational and writing skills.
  • Independent, self-starting and highly motivated.
  • Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history.

Responsibilities

  • Examine, plan and administer physical therapy treatments to patients referred by appropriate professionals.
  • Interpret practitioner’s referrals and perform a complete patient evaluation.
  • Develop a thorough treatment plan to include goals, reevaluation and discharge.
  • Perform treatment program, making modifications when necessary, and ongoing assessment of patient’s response to treatment.
  • Delegate and supervise support staff on appropriate portion of treatment plan, while being open to ideas and suggestions.
  • Document timely and appropriately on the patient’s progress and treatment outcomes, in addition to patient/family education.
  • Efficiently perform all duties related to the charging system and recording of individual productivity data.
  • Designate or establish written and/or oral communication with physician and other disciplines.
  • Manage secondary responsibilities and assignments as assigned by supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff.
